He just walked in the restuarant & sat on a reserved table
I was puzzled & asked

The food were served soon after our stupid chats
I gasped
The food were nice & yummy!
I then wondered why DarDar is so romantic tonight...

After our main course
The lights dimed
I raised one eyebrow
Thought they are closing already
& then suddenly
One of the waitress served a slice of white chocolate strawberry cake with lit candle


So I was right
DarDar has plans!
& he planned to celebrate my birthday

When I read the card

So touched
& I didnt wanna open my gift coz I scare I will cry again

I enjoyed the meal, cake, friendliness of the staffs and of coz, DarDar
I really didnt expect he can prepare everything today without me knowing!

When I reached home
I opened the gift

A pair of heart-shaped lollipops & 3 nail polishes
The colors are very nice!

I was so outdoor today
Headed to NIE in the morning to register for my course

When I reached the campus
I was just as innocent as new born
I looked around for the Finance Department
Which was stated to be at the 2nd level
But when I reached 2nd level
I cant find it!
& only to realise it was hidden behind the wall next to the toilet

What an architecture!

I then went to the Graduate Office to fill up my particulars
First time write 'Married' at status column

Wah I tell you
The admin staff was so horrible that I was totally turned off & gave her my most stuck-up look
There I saw her busy attending to another future classmate with another colleague
So I sat at the sofa next to the helpdesk
& one of them just shouted 'YES?'
I didnt wanna say a thing
& just handed her my NIE letter
She then asked for the verification of my certs
& I just passed her the whole file for her to search herself
You think I so free to pull one one by one & then slot back in nicely again just for that 2 seconds?
I think she also sensed I abit stuck-up but who cares!
I ever worked admin before but I bet that I was 101% better than her
If my boss could said I have attitude problem when I have been receiving alot of compliments
I guess she's just shit in shit

Anyway
Went shopping with Michelle after that

Been long I last stepped into town
With all the Christmas decoration around
It sure was feeling relaxed
Plus the cold weather
Adding 30% to the 'winter' atmosphere


Met the Coyotes for dinner at Indulgz @ Bugis
The girls celebrated my birthday with me =)
The food were nice especially the Beef Cheese Fries
HEAVENLY!

It was a nice place
Ambience was good
The staffs were really good at keeping it up as a posh place to dine in too

After the meal
We went over to eat Hong Kong dessert =D

Rain was heavy yesterday
Hasnt been then that it can rain the whole day
With flunctuation in rainfall rate within 8 hours

I am not really a fashion follower too
I dress simple in tees/blouse & jeans

Quality corresponds with price
It looks good on her, really

I just got back from Labrador Park
Went to do some coastal cleanup coz Andy said there were 3 large gill nets near the coast
Michelle & I went, together with Robert & Ria


I didnt know the park had already opened
& I thought it's the old one near Pasir Panjang
Explored abit
Surprisingly the shore is kinda barren
Not with a single starfish that we normally see on the shore
& I was kinda surprised that there are gill nets that stretched from one end of the shore to another!
When we went forward to take a look
It had all the sea grass growing on it
Couldnt be too new

& then the cleanup started
We had to cut the nets into smaller pieces so we could drag the heavy piece back to the shore
& also tried to dig the buried part to remove the entire one
Luckily
Not much mud got onto me

Robert & Andy found a gill net with live horse shoe crabs
Which kinda hurts to just hear about it

Gill nets are prohibited fishing gears in some countries
Mainly for those where fisheries are part of their major industry
It has a high rate of by-catch such as turtle & sharks
& thus it had been banned due to its impact to the marine life

I'm not too sure how fisheries work in Singapore
But I guess that since gill nets appear here
Probably the fishing gears are not restricted
However, as much as it affect the marine life
& people like us concerning the environment is very unpleased to see such abandoned nets lying around in shore
Which will lead to ghost fishing
Just as bad as by-catch

Ghost fishing is a kind of 'fishing' where the nets stays there and no one came to pick up what is being caught in the mesh
I guess we collected approximately 50kg of the gill netsTook us real effort to clean only 50% of it
Coz tide was rising real fast
Guess the remaining 50% is needed to be cleared sometime sooner before more creatures get entangled and die
Which means we need more manpower too!

So we just went to try the C-Nai Hong Kong Express Cafe

When we arrived

But Mum's returning Hong Kong next week

I joined DarDar & his family to Batam to attend the opening ceremony of the Pang Association
It was grand
A very warm welcome for us at the Ferry Terminal & at the hotel



We then went to attend our welcome dinner at the restaurant
Kinda bored before the dishes were served
So we played with cameras






The food was alright
& we headed back to hotel at around 1130pm

Next day was horrible
Had to wake up at 730 to eat breakfast!
My eyes were -_- when I was at the cafe
After that
We went to the venue to do some praying to the ancesters
As we sat down for lunch
I noticed something
I realised that almost everyone looks alike
I asked DarDar
"EH! Why all look like your grandpa?"
"The Pang blood flows in almost everyone whose surname is Pang"
"HUH! Then like that I also look abit like your mother loh?"
(DarDar's mum share the same surname as me...)

The grand dinner was held that night





After 2 days of attending the functions
We finally got to sightsee several places
To this new bridge that connect 6 small islands
& a big temple

It was still a pleasant trip afterall
Got to see the activities that my in-laws are taking part in

Mum recieved a call from Hong Kong
Saying that Uncle (Mum's elder brother) is on the verge of his life
His lung cancer* cells had spreaded all the way to his brain
& he fell into coma last week
Although he'd awaken now
Doctor said his chances are slim

Mum was abit panick about the whole situation
& applied leave immediately without checking if the air tics are available
Dad was being a fuss, as usual, saying all the unreasonables out of the unexpected
Bro is always adding fuel to the fire
& I have to resolve the burning fire & explaining the optimistic possible outcome of the unexpected

So now
I tried to put everything to a temporary halt
Becuase aunt said it's not that jialat as what another aunt said
So Mum is gonna postpone her approved leave
Being that
I'd requested my dear friend to assist getting me air tic as soon as possible
I may have to accompany my Mum as well
Which I do hope it doesnt fall on the days when I have to register for my course personally

On top of everything
I've gotten my grab-bag ready

I'm now on standby mode

*PS: I dont remember my Uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer...is it because of negligence of the doctor that no follow-up was done and apparently caused such situation that messed up everyone's mental wellness?
