Weather was unexpected cold
I read the newspaper said that global warming had caused Genting to turn warm
As tropical trees had been found to invade the temperate zone
As such I didnt bring any sleeved tee
I was wearing my halter-neck & tube top
Which got me frozen during late nights when temperature falls to 13 deg C!!

I'm pretty much happy about this trip
Coz everything went well except the last night
When both of us were almost out of cash
& we're itchy to play the Monopoly Jackpot in the casino
So we went round looking for affordable food that can use Mastercard
& DarDar was complaining that he's damn fucking hungry
& that a hungry man is an angry man
Who then obviously showed me black face when I refused to eat at this particular cafe that cost me thrice the amount I could pay in Singapore!

Anyway
Apart from being an hungry angry man
We did alot of things for the first time in our lives!!!!~~
Which also thus explain why we were almost outta RM$500 cash for just 3D2N

We did sky-diving!
Well...
Not the real one though
But still, we experienced it!
I was kinda scared initially but since DarDar wanna try, I just tagged along
What's more for sky diving when I'd done scuba diving where pressure is an issue?
Best of all
We too have a certificate for it

DarDar then insisted to play at the outdoor theme park
Which wasnt really in part of my plan
Anyhow I too tagged along

We headed to Kuala Lumpur!
We took the cable car down
Transferred bus
Took LRT
& we reached KLCC where I desperately wanna check out the KL Aquaria








Oh I touched a leopard shark!
The shark was adorably circling at the surface & it lifted its right pectoral fin out of the surface
So I went to touch it!
Heeheeheeeeeeeeee
I saw a bigger one at Phuket & of coz I didnt wanna risk my hand then

The Aquaria is not bad
It exhibits different habitat ranging from rainforest to mangroves to marine
& it was feeding time when I almost ended my trip
& looking at those hungry creatures feeding is soooooooooooooooo cool!
The golden trevally were so huge!

& I saw the nautilus for the first time

I told DarDar to look at it too coz it would only be at Philippines if we wanna see it live during diving
The weird looking pineapple fish that some rich asses keep in their aquarium
We spent almost 3 hours in it
& then shopped a while at KLCC
& tried to catch the bus back Genting at 6pm

At the cable car station
We had another round of animal kingdom exhibition
Another round of eye-opening animals that even Singapore Zoo lacks




Time back to the clouds

Last day to enjoy the remaining 5 hours before official departure
Met up with Lionel who only reached Genting at 3am
& we went back together
DarDar bought a bag of roasted chestnut
Which appeared to be happy to be eaten


Not a bad trip

I picked 'Salinity' as my topic since I did my FYP project on salinity as well

& realised that he's doing Part 2 of my FYP project!!!!!!!

I am very glad that my project is being followed up!

There's no soft copy of it online which I'd like to forward it to my Prof
& my stupid school's E-journal portal sucks to core
Every journal also dont have!!!

The way they categorise it is hell

While I was climbing the stairs to DarDar's room in his JB's house
I stepped onto something unidentifiable sharp that pierced my sole
It was a fucking deep wound
So pain that I cried

It's been long I'd injured myself
Getting hurt in the sole is really an experience

I nearly got my finger chopped of just now
I was opening the top cabinet of DarDar's cupboard
& suddenly
A very loud 'Piang'

I looked up
The frame of the cabinet door has been chopped
& a small piece of the frame flew off
The door hit the giant ceiling fan

I stunned for a while
Closed the door
Off the fan

Luckily my hand isnt there
How careless I was
& I cant wonder what happened if my fingers are really chopped off

In fact
I'm physically limping my way through

The ache on my foot is coming back

Every step I press my foot against the floor to start a new step
My foot is leaning more to the right side of the sole to support the weight

& I am pretty sad about it

That day had a large import of anemonefish
It looked cute, really
But it had more than hundreds
I was told they came from Australia

But isnt Aussie very environmentally concern on conservation?
Friend told me they are captive bred
Really?
I stopped asking & kept quiet in doubt

I looked around the tanks where corals are kept
Nice bunch but not in the tank
I still prefer it in the water

A van came
The driver carried 2 big boxes of corals
Boss looked in it for a while & handed him some cash

Friend pulled me aside & told me it was an illegal deal
She hates that man who keeps bringing illegally dug corals to workplace & also hates her boss for doing such a deal
Instead of demand & supply
It is supply & acceptance

I quickly told friend that we could do something about it
Like reporting to AVA or sorts
But she said it will be a very difficult position to do so

I realised what she meant
It's her job

When there's no sale, there's no income
When there's no stock, there's no sale

It's a vicous cycle
I bet she is also feeling kinda guilty earning money from such means

I guess it's an ethical issue

Although authorites are there to approve import & export of trade
The reinforcement is not strong

When I read that headline
I was like 'Hur?'
A natural landscape was turned into an urban area & now turning it back to natural park?

Do you know that restoration takes years?
Probably decades
& in the first place
Who was there to assess what animal species were present before it was scrapped?
Who was there to assess what tree species?
Who was there to assess if it's a primary or secondary forest?
Who was there to assess the density of animal present?

When a place that had changed is to be transformed back to original

I told my friend that I cant understand how government can allow environment impacting development just by browsing the EIA, which are not even revealed to the public
I told my friend that I also cant understand why we're forbided to comment on unagreeable points
I told my friend that I dont even notice what mitigation plans they had prior to operation
I told my friend that saving corals at Labrador Park need not put artifical growth platforms that squash corals underneath
