Jay woke me up in the morning asking about the scuba diving preparation

I bought the stuffs, prepared them & invigilated my Mum to do the cooking

I better blog something about my weekend before I sink into depression
MY LAPPY BABY!!!

I went to Sekudu (next to Pulau Ubin) for 2 consecutive mornings [Sat/Sun]
It was my first time there
& I was so excited about that place
It had beautiful rock formation on it
& apparently one of the rocks looks like a frog
& thus, it was named The Frog Rock

Eyes were drawn on it, accompanied with a smile that greets everyone

The red sea stars, however, were placed by WildFilms coz it was part of our mission for the mornings - to record a 1 minute video clip for National Day titled 'The Singapore I want' by shouting that line together with those sea stars

We started to search for animals to film asap
Trying not to waste time coz the low tide is rather short



Found a flatworm

Sea anemones

A file snake

My first time handling the snake. Luckily it didnt freak me to death coz it looks harmless as everyone was touching it

But nothing beats the sunrise



So romantic

Real thing started just minutes before the tides really came in

One of us was to shout 'This is the Singapore we want' while the others shouted 'Yay'
But we sounded very fake. LOL.
After several times & we got so experienced about it
We finally got the clip done. Nice & perfect.

My 2 mornings of Sekudu were fun
I just love going to new places
Learning new things such as operating the cameras
& yes, I took some clips myself!
& I think they're not bad =D

My tiredness from my first morning trip was subsided by ice-cream

Dear's 2nd elder brother made sweetcorn-strawberry-chocolate Orea icecream
Not bad
But I think only the sweetcorn & the oreo bits tasted the best
Coz that's the only thing I like
So... I left the strawberry & chocolate for Dear to finish it
Hahaha

After my second trip
I stayed awake the whole day
Didnt catch sleep coz I didnt have the mood to
I was so excited to blog for Wildfilms & thus, I on my laptop
Then blue screen appeared & the thing restarted continuously
All happened so fast that I couldnt read what was on the monitor
I asked Dear to come over & rescue my lappy
So sad

Lappy had been with me for 3 yrs in HK
Been through up & down
Saw me laugh and cry in front of it
Communicated me worldwide when I was alone & lonely
Played songs for me when I had severe insomnia
Worked hard on my FYP data & report together
But now...........
The thing is
Lappy didnt show any signs of 'unwell' before it sank into 'coma'
So sudden

Maybe Lappy didnt want me to worry
=~

Man
I seem to have brought Lappy alive by describing it as if it's a human
But
seriously
When you'd developed feelings with an object, be it an ant, a tree or a toilet bowl
You'll feel so sad when they start to leave you all so suddenly

Then at the library

& Ivan & I hurried back home to change & take passport

I think I have 8 entry & exit Malaysia stamps on my passport this week

I headed JB to ask for the price of the Genting package
Wanna go with Dear
Kee only wanted to pump petrol
Ivan... just tagged along as our bodyguard *haha*

We intended to drive further up JB to use up the fuel so we can pump more
But we saw a bloody long jam up to a little further than Komtar
& we decided to head straight to SG

Kee's car got distorted again

The whole bumper got 'screwed' by the wheel of this bus driven by an ah neh
What I saw was:
Kee wanted to drive into the lane
But the bus didnt stop even when the head of the car is already in his way!!!

His car was only repaired last week
Now he has to fix it again

Supposedly meeting Dear for movie
But Dear didnt wanna wait for me to return SG
& headed home to watch his 'Superstar'

Sentosa trip for this early morning is so unexpected
As in
I expect many wildlife as claimed by Tom
But what I saw was only
snails, particularly the Turbo spp
& When I'd excited found a Thais spp
It turned out to be an abandoned shell with a hermit crab in it!

I am so sick of this gastropod

I expect more vibrant marine life
Like fishes, stingrays, seahorses, etc
But all is barren

The only thing that attracts us to film

Feeling abit disappointed
I was determined to look for more things to shoot
& I found a large school of juvenile striped-eel catfishs!!

& when we were about to leave
Wai found a baby octopus!
Reminded me of the crab eating an octopus in Chek Jawa

& then to see some motorbike stuffs
They were discouraging me on learning bike

I would say that my interview was a success!!
Nothing to really panic about actually
coz the interviewers sounded friendlier than they looked like
& I could see that they were impressed with my rubbish replies
How amazing!
They kept asking me about my studies in HongKong
& I just told them what I did
They even wanna test me, asking me
"Which other countries except HongKong do Environmental Impact Assessment?"
AH HUH!
Luckily I still remember *blinks*

They then asked me about my understanding of biodiversity in Singapore
Afterall they notice that my course mainly deals with ecology & biodiversity
& I told them about the Wildfilms
Having trips to Singapore shores to record the beautiful marine life
& then one of them asked
"Can I have the contact of the Wilfilm captain?"
*jaws dropped*
I wondered if I'd sabo-ed the team
& I hesitated
In the end I gave them the website for them to find it out themselves

They then asked me questions relating to the job
& BINGO!
They really asked about how I can contribute to NEA
*bangs head on wall*
Just at that moment
Another interviewer cut in & asked another question
LOL!!
I escaped the scariest question

I think it was a 15 minutes long interview
& the best thing is they have smiles on their faces
Which totally cleared the idea of strict government officer's images in my mind

I thank Ivan for accompanying me down to the interview, back home & down town
& also help me pay for my clothings from MANGO
coz my NETS declined my transaction twice!!
Only have $20+ left in it

& also paid for the dinner coz no money already

He missed turns

In the end, we still ended up in Bugis after 15mins

& I guided him outta Bugis & asked him to drop us at Novena
& then we met again after his lesson ended
